Conception and production of a stand for Google for the “Campus Party Europe” on the Berlin Tempelhof Airport. Together with the “Stiftung Entrepreneurship” and Indiegogo, Google hosted the “Startup Weekend Airport 12” – an offer to people who want to develop their ideas and find partners. A flexible convertible space for lectures, coaching, work and meeting the participants and experts, inspired by the history of Google, was staged in the form of a garage. To illustrate the building and keep it open and transparent at the same time, it was outlined with fragmentary wall elements. Real gras floor and plastered exterior walls amplified the inside and outside of the room. Through various areas, furniture and decorations – Präsentation- working and communication spaces could be created and overlapped depending on the situation. A strong attraction for visitors were a ´1977 Opel Record in the color of the construction material with High-Speed LAN connections and a streetball basket in the “driveway”. A particular interesting challenge in the design and implementation was the strict regulations for fire protection, structural engineering and construction in the historic building.
