Thingk design provides research through design for the application of new materials, technologies and communication of research results. As an cross-section science which is suitable as a hub of interdisciplinary cooperation and operating at the interface between people, technology and art, methods of design and design thinking are particularly suitable to develop new applications for existing or newly developed materials and technologies, for example for public communication and to acquire clients or investors. The special but inittially abstract properties of materials and processes, can be transfered in a specific and concrete product expression that could be published or exhibited in design and trade shows. Especially if such product still does not allow a economically reasonable production, so it can prepare the way there by the generatet PR material. The experience – experimentally collected in the practical application of the material can provide a basis for the development of processing instructions or helpful tools.
